Car won't start sometimes but then starts fine an hour later – ECU or immobilizer?
This intermittent no start issue is driving me crazy. My 2014 Range Rover Evoque will crank strongly but won't fire up, usually after I've been driving, parked for like 15 or 20 minutes, and then try to start again. If I leave it for an hour or two, it starts perfectly like nothing happened. No check engine light, no codes when I scanned it with my cheap reader. I've already replaced the battery and the crankshaft position sensor because I read those are common failures but the problem came back. I'm thinking this might be an ECU or immobilizer issue and I need a reputable ECU fault repair Dubai that can actually communicate with the modules and see what's happening when the fault is active. I found Dynostar's malfunction page and they mention advanced diagnostics for intermittent faults which sounds like what I need. Has anyone here had this hot start problem that turned out to be a failing fuel pump relay or a coolant temperature sensor giving false readings? Or am I looking at sending my ECU away for repair? Really frustrated because the car is fine 90% of the time but that 10% leaves me stranded. Any similar experiences would help a lot. Thanks.
