Create your Ravelry account with a username and password, then click “Create My Account.” 4 Steps to Search for Free Knitting Patterns To help you get started, here’s a quick example search for a free knitting pattern, like a scarf. I want a pattern with a photo and one that uses yarn I already have in my stash. Go to the “ Patterns” tab in the top navigation .
